Improved TAL Website
The Alberta Library is redesigning its website to increase functionality, and to meet the needs of all members. "The website is a very important tool to communicate with our members," says Lucy Pana, CEO. "Our online presence is becoming increasingly important as our partnerships expand nationally and internationally."
To get a better understanding of what improvements are needed on the website, TAL distributed a website survey to gain feedback from its users. The survey was emailed to TAL members in early January, and the response was strong. Thank you to everyone who participated. Your feedback will help in the renewal of the website, which we are expecting to be complete by the summer.

Executive Committee
At its January 18th meeting, the Executive Committee reviewed the Financial Report and Personnel Committee Report. A Report on Privacy Legislation and how it affects TAL was presented by TAL’s Virtual Reference Librarian, Dyan Perley. Recommendations in the report were accepted and an implementation plan will be developed.
The Code of Conduct and Risk Management Framework were reviewed and referred to the Governance Committee for further development.
