Feature Event :: Baba Yaga Trail Adventure

Baba Yaga Trail Adventure
January 22 & 23, 2 – 9 pm
Snow Valley & Whitemud Park South

The Baba Yaga Trail Adventure integrates art, recreation, theatre and light installations to create a magical night walk in beautiful Whitemud Park.

Based on an ancient folk tale, the adventure recreates the journey of a young woman named Vasilissa who is sent into the forest by her wicked stepsisters to get fire from the witch Baba Yaga, who lives in a house on chicken legs. Along the way she encounters 3 horseman and many strange sights… will she complete her journey?

The Baba Yaga Adventure is best experienced in the evening, but the Whitemud Park is gorgeous at any time.

During the daylight hours there is lots to see and do at the Winter Camp, which is home base to explore snow recreation including Zipfy sledding, cross-country skiing, snow shoeing, and new this year – a biathlon shooting range and high angle ascent demos! And the Winter Camp is always the best place to gather around warm campfires for music, performances and free hot chocolate.
